What we do
What can you expect from your first visit?
At the time of your first visit a licensed Physical Therapist will
perform a Physical Therapy Evaluation.
Upon the completion of the examination the therapist will discuss
the plan according to the findings and what you would like to accomplish
with the treatments. To complete the first visit the therapist will
teach you self-care and home exercises to help you manage your symptoms.
The treatment plan can include all or any combination of the following:
Manual Therapy
Joint and soft tissue mobilization, including various techniques
mentioned,
to normalize function.
Therapeutic Exercises
Learn exercises to improve your function and modify existing exercises
to better serve you. You will learn how to include cardiovascular
exercises, strengthening and stretching exercises, relaxation techniques.
Body Awareness
Become aware how you stress your body through lifelong habits in
daily activities.
Learn how to change your posture, your body mechanics and how to
set up a more ergonomic workstation. Learn how to move with ease
and reduce the stress factors in your daily life.
Education
Learn how to manage your symptoms, how to prevent future injuries
or exacerbations and how to maintain good function.
